The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced the locations of 15 new Customer Service Centers (CSCs) coming to stations throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx through the end of 2025, including a Customer Service Center serving Grand Central-42 St       that opened last month.

Agents at CSCs are on hand 24/7 to assist riders with OMNY machines, help customers sign up for the Fair Fares and Reduced-Fare programs, and provide service information, among other features. The first Customer Service Center opened at the Coney Island-Stillwell Av station in 2023.

“We’re making it even easier for customers to get assistance by meeting them where they are with new customer service centers coming to locations throughout the transit system,” said NYC Transit President Demetrius Crichlow. “As we continue to transition to tap-and-ride, customers can easily transfer funds from MetroCards to OMNY at their nearest customer service center where knowledgeable station agents are there to help.”

“We’re excited to announce the opening of our newest customer service centers throughout the subway system, designed with the needs of our 4 million plus daily riders in mind,” said NYC Transit Executive Vice President of Subways Bill Amarosa Jr. “These centers are a one-stop resource for accessing reduced fare programs, obtaining essential service information, with a focus on customer-friendly design and enhanced ADA accessibility. We’re committed to ensuring that all riders have an easier and more efficient experience navigating the New York City Transit system.”

Station agents working at Customer Service Centers assist customers with switching to OMNY, including helping Reduced-Fare MetroCard customers switch to OMNY and providing applications to first-time Reduced-Fare customers. Additionally, Customer Service Centers provide customers with information about how to submit complaints and receive updates and information on travel delays. Customer Service Centers also assist customers with wayfinding through the transit system. Agents working at Customer Service Centers receive dedicated training on OMNY equipment and all dedicated customer service functions the centers provide.

Customer Service Centers are staffed by station agents 24/7, with the exception of St George, which is open Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A full list of Customer Service Centers can be found here
