Happy Labor Day weekend! It may be the unofficial last weekend of summer, but there's still time for more summer fun this weekend, whether that's the West Indian American Day Carnival, the US Open, or just a day at the beach.
There are some service changes across our network because Monday is a holiday:
- Subways and buses are running on a Sunday schedule on Monday.
- The Long Island Rail Road is running on a Saturday schedule on Sunday and a Sunday schedule on Monday.
- On Metro-North Railroad:
- The Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines are running on a Sunday schedule on Monday.
- The Port Jervis and Pascack Valley lines are running on a weekend schedule on Monday.
Sunday is also the first day of Phase 2 service changes as part of the Queens Bus Network Redesign. We're expanding the all-day frequent network, adding new overnight service, removing some stops to improve speed and reliability, and adding new connections to major destinations and transfer points. Learn more about the new Queens bus network and find out what's happening with your route.
We're also looking for your feedback: Help shape how the MTA communicates service changes by taking a short survey to let us know what we're doing right and what we can do better in our service change notices.
