If you're traveling to JFK airport this weekend, note that trains aren't running to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport. Take the to Howard Beach-JFK Airport or the to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport.
Here's what's happening on the subway this weekend (also viewable as a map):
- trains aren't running between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse and are running in two sections.
- trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs.
- trains aren't running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St.
- trains aren't running between Queensboro Plaza and 57 St-7 Av, and are running in two sections.

Major subway service changes
trains, the Bronx
trains aren't running between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse from 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday.
- trains are running in two sections:
- Between Wakefield-241 St and E 180 St, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- Between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College.
- trains are running in two sections:
- Between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St all weekend, every 12 minutes during the day and evening.
- Between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Bowling Green during the day and evening, every 20 minutes.
- 149 St-bound trains aren't stopping at 138 St-Grand Concourse. For service to/from this station, take the .
This is because of track replacement.
- For service between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse, take free shuttle buses, which are running along two routes:
- Local, making all stops between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse.
- Nonstop between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse.
- When exiting the subway at E 180 St, 3 Av-149 St, or 149 St-Grand Concourse, get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.
- Metro-North is accommodating subway riders at no additional cost for travel between the Bronx and Manhattan at stations between Wakefield and Grand Central on the Harlem and New Haven lines.
trains, Brooklyn and Queens
trains aren't running between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of signal modernization.
- For service between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs, take free B98 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all stops.
- When exiting the subway at Court Sq, Lorimer St (Metropolitan Av), or Bedford-Nostrand Avs, get a GO Ticket from a station agent for re-entry.
- trains are running between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Church Av, every 10 minutes during the day and evening.
trains, Brooklyn and Queens
trains aren't running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St in either direction from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track replacement.
- For service between 121 St and Crescent St, free J90 shuttle buses are running between Jamaica Van-Wyck and Crescent St, making all stops between 121 St and Crescent St.
- When exiting the subway at Jamaica-Van Wyck or Crescent St, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
- For service to/from Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport, take the .
- For service to JFK Airport , take the to Howard Beach-JFK Airport or the to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport.
- trains are running between Crescent St and Broad St.
trains, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:
- trains aren't running between Queensboro Plaza and 57 St-7 Av, and are running in two sections:
- Between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and Queensboro Plaza.
- Between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and 57 St-7 Av and on the to/from 96 St.
- trains aren't running between 96 St and Prospect Park.
- trains are running between Prospect Park and Coney island-Stillwell Av, every 10 minutes during the day and evening.
This is because of track replacement.
- For service between Queens and Manhattan, take the .
- For direct service between Manhattan/Downtown Brooklyn and Coney Island, take trains.
- For service to/from Lexington Av/59 St and 5 Av/59 St, use nearby 59 St .
- For service between 96 St and 57 St-7 Av, take the .
- For service between 57 St-7 Av and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, take trains.
- trains are stopping at DeKalb Av all weekend.
- For service between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Prospect Park, take free B116 shuttle buses, which are running between these stations making all stops.
trains, Manhattan and Queens
trains are running on the via Roosevelt Island between 36 St and 57 St-7 Av in both directions from 9:45 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday because of signal modernization.
- For service to/from Queens Plaza, take the .
- For service to/from Lexington Av/59 St and 5 Av/59 St, use nearby 59 St .
Other subway service changes
trains, the Bronx and Manhattan
From 11:15 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Sunday, Norwood-bound trains are running nonstop from 145 St to Tremont Av because of communications work.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Coney Island-bound train.
trains, Brooklyn
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:
- Manhattan-bound trains are running express from Kings Hwy to Smith-9 Sts.
- Bedford-Nostrand Avs-bound trains are running express from Church Av to Smith-9 Sts.
This is because of track maintenance.
- For service to/from local stations between Kings Hwy and Church Av, take a Coney Island-bound .
- For service to/from local stations between Church Av and Smith-9 Sts, take a Coney Island-bound or Church Av-bound .
Long Island Rail Road service changes
City Terminal Zone
From 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, eastbound trains aren't stopping at Forest Hills or Kew Gardens and eastbound trains toward Jamaica aren't stopping at Woodside. This is because of accessibility work.
- Eastbound trains are running nonstop from Manhattan to Jamaica. Port Washington Branch trains are still stopping at Woodside.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, take the subway.
- Show your LIRR ticket to enter the subway at no additional cost at 34 St-Penn Station , Grand Central-42 St , Woodside-61 St , Forest Hills-71 Av , and Kew Gardens-Union Tpke .
Port Jefferson Branch
From 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 1:45 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running between Huntington and Port Jefferson because of crossing repairs.
- For service between Huntington and Port Jefferson, take shuttle buses, which are running in two zones making all stops along a section of the branch and running non-stop to/from Huntington:
- Greenlawn through Smithtown.
- St. James through Port Jefferson.
- Local travel between stops in different zones is not possible.
