MTA Weekender: October 31-November 3, 2025

There are service changes on the subway, LIRR, and Metro-North this weekend. Here’s how that will affect how you get around.
Updated October 31, 2025 12:00 p.m.

Happy Friday, happy Halloween, and happy marathon weekend! (And don't forget that daylight ends on Sunday morning, so it's time to set your clocks back.)

If you're heading to the Village Halloween Parade this evening, note that some stairways at 14 St/6 Av    , West 4 St-Wash Sq        , and Spring St    will be exit- or entrance-only and subject to intermittent closures to prevent crowding, and downtown    trains won't stop at Spring St from 5 to 10 p.m.

And on Sunday, for the TCS New York City Marathon, some stairways at 59 St-Columbus Circle     , 66 St-Lincoln Center  , 72 St  , and 81 St-Museum of Natural History   may be closed, and there will be detours on many bus routes along the marathon route. If you're taking the bus on Sunday, check Planned Service Changes to see if there is a detour on your route.

Finally, it's your last chance to make your voice heard by taking the Fall edition of our Customers Count survey, which closes on Sunday. Your feedback helps us improve service, and you can also win a $100 OMNY gift card. Take the survey now.
